Life in Dubai

Improving the world on the 34th floor

Hi everyone! It’s been a while, sorry.

Mikko has been in Finland wishing his family a Merry Christmas so it’s been ‘girls only’ here on the 34th floor for these past days. I had such a fun weekend hanging out with my aunt who was in town for a few days!

I picked her up on Saturday and she had with her a delivery of rye-bread, turkish pepper and gingerbreads for me. šŸ™‚ We went for a walk in JLT and ate delicious Peking duck on JBR for lunch. The afternoon was spent in Mall of the Emirates looking for a summer dress for her but we ended up with a sun bed for me instead. Lol. šŸ˜€ After that we came back home and sat ourselves comfortably on the balcony with a glass of wine and started improving the world. She stayed over and we had a ‘pajama-day’ on Sunday, sat out on the balcony and cheered on my brother who had a race that day (alpine skiing, he came in 7th – YAY), we had Thai lunch, went for a walk with Nala and continued improving the world. We also experienced one of the many great luxuries in Dubai – home delivery. We had delivered among other things a toothbrush in the morning, not bad huh? (this I can easily get used to).

Yesterday was spent doing chores and grocery shopping, preparing for the arrival of my beloved sister (who flew in early this morning). More about that in the next post!
